ABOUT THE EVENT

The Chester County Food Bank will be in the spotlight for the next event in Phoenixville Public Library’s partner-sponsored “Community Gardening around the Village” program series. Kale Doughty, Community Food Access Educator, will speak at the Library Monday, April 29 at 6:30 PM. Kale will speak about the Food Bank, their garden programs, and their reach around the county. Formed in 2009, the Chester County Food Bank secures, manages, and distributes food to those in need. They work with more than 160 partner agencies in Chester County to distribute nearly 3.5 million pounds of food to those with limited or uncertain access to adequate food. This event is free and open to the public. The program will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
