ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host an event with local author June McInerney on Tuesday, November 27 at 7:00 PM. June’s newest book is Colonial Theater: A Novel of Phoenixville During the Roarin’ ’20s. Sultry, young, aspiring actress Constance Flower, a.k.a. Fleur Fixé, — the “Box Office Betty” of the Colonial Theatre — finds herself both the lover and dupe of a notorious bank robber in this tantalizing mystery by June J. McInerney, considered “the” resident historical novelist of Phoenixville. June will give us the backstory of her novel and discuss the early history of Phoenixville’s award-winning theatre. Ken Metzner, the Colonial’s new Executive Director, will also be on hand to present his vision for the theatre as a continued vital and integral part of the community.

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
