ABOUT THE EVENT
It takes a team to defeat children’s heart disease.
Our family has lived in the area for 11 years and we are happy to call Phoenixville home. In August 2015 at 37 weeks along in our pregnancy, we learned that our son had a heart defect. We delivered Noah at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on September 10, 2015. He was a beautiful, brave baby boy. Noah was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) and fought very hard to stay in our loving family. At 3 weeks old, Noah was gifted a new heart and underwent heart transplant surgery. Unfortunately the new heart did not function properly and our sweet baby boy passed away on October 3, 2015. Our family is unbelievably devastated. In efforts to help other families struggling with cardiomyopathy and to honor our son, we are partnering with the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) and organizing a hometown walk at Charlestown Park in Phoenixville on Sunday, September 16th, 2018.
If you would also like to be part of our hometown walk team BeKindAlways4Noah and walk with us, please visit our team’s website to register. More event details and registration can be found via the link below:
