Phoenixville Chamber Invests in the Future with Acquisition of New Headquarters
PHOENIXVILLE, FEB. 7 2024 – The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce a significant step forward in its commitment to the local business community. The chamber has successfully acquired a new property located at 710 Main Street in the borough of Phoenixville, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in our organization’s history.
The decision to purchase and renovate this new headquarters underscores our dedication to creating a dynamic and modern space that will better serve our members, foster collaboration, and contribute to the continued growth of our vibrant community.
Key highlights of the new property include:
- A strategic location with easy accessibility for members and stakeholders.
- Ample space for expanded programs, events, and member services.
- State-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance member engagement and support local businesses.
The former chamber building, located in the heart of downtown at 171 Bridge Street, will be put on the market with Joseph Scott McArdle C.C.I.M. of Keller Williams Realty Group as part of our strategic real estate initiative. This decision aligns with our commitment to adapt and invest wisely to meet the evolving needs of our organization and community. McArdle exclaimed, “I am honored and thrilled to be chosen as the Realtor to help advise our chamber into the transition into a building that exemplifies the commitment to future growth and enhanced service to the growing regional Phoenixville community.”
Carnevale Eustis Architects, Inc has been selected to provide the necessary drawings for the future space. Tom Carnevale noted that “Carnevale Eustis Architects are pleased to be working with the Chamber on the renovation of this building for their needs now, and for the future of the Chamber.”
The Chamber was presented with a very significant grant for funding a building project from the Phoenixville Area Economic Development Corporation (PAEDCO). This property acquisition was made possible by this grant, without any debt to the chamber.
Kurt Kunsch, President of PAEDCO said, “We are proud to support the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s transformative building project. Since 1996, PAEDCO has impacted the community in various efforts to meet our mission of creating economic development in Phoenixville. Our mission has been realized through the collaborative efforts of incredible leaders within our town. The Chamber’s visionary project will provide a catalyst for existing and new businesses to thrive in an evolving business landscape.”
The Chamber’s Building Committee, comprised of the Chairperson Mike Polin, John Colarusso, Frank Giardina (immediate past executive chair), Michael Murray, ESQ; and the Chamber’s Executive Committee, Chairman Buffy MacLelland, Vice-Chair Wendy McKeon, Second Vice-Chair George Michael Gatcha and Treasurer Greg Care; has worked tediously through the many options and opportunities.
Chairman MacLelland noted, “The Chamber is poised to grow in 2024 and beyond with the acquisition of a new building. This location will ultimately be a state-of-the-art facility from which The Chamber can serve its members and the greater Phoenixville community. We look forward with great excitement to embarking on this project and what it will mean to the community.”
Michael Polin shared, “After thorough consideration of various possibilities for the future home of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, including options such as constructing on our current lot, collaborating with a developer, and relocating from our Bridge St location, the prospect of 710 Main St has emerged as the ideal choice. Stepping into 710 Main St aligns perfectly with the Chamber’s vision for the future, positioning it as the gateway to Phoenixville and the vibrant offerings of our downtown. Anticipating the transformative developments we will bring to this property, I eagerly await this move to our new home in the borough!”
Chamber President/CEO, Jessica Capistrant, IOM, expressed enthusiasm for the future, stating, “This strategic move not only reflects our refreshed dedication to innovation and progress but also positions the chamber for long-term success. The new headquarters will serve as a hub for collaboration, and the sale of our downtown property will contribute to the economic vitality of the area.”
To celebrate this transformative moment, the chamber will host a groundbreaking ceremony at the new location in the coming months. This event will provide an opportunity for members, community leaders, and the public to witness the beginning of the renovation process.
