Lemonade Day Program

Lemonade Day Program

🍋What is Lemonade Day?

Lemonade Day is a fun, hands-on program that introduces youth to the world of entrepreneurship by teaching them how to start, own, and operate their very own business — a lemonade stand!

What began in Houston, Texas in 2007, with just 2,700 kids, has since grown into an international movement, reaching over 1 million young entrepreneurs in more than 80 licensed markets across the U.S., Canada, Bermuda, and U.S. military bases. Through a strategic, lesson-based curriculum, Lemonade Day walks students through every step of launching a business — from forming a dream and writing a business plan to setting goals, budgeting, marketing, and executing their idea. But this program is more than just about selling lemonade. It’s about inspiring youth to believe in themselves and develop the skills they need to thrive in any endeavor.

Participants learn to spend some, save some, and share some of their earnings, encouraging both financial literacy and community-minded values. Lemonade Day helps young people understand that they have the power to shape their future and to give back while doing it.

How is Lemonade Day Impactful?

By participating in the program, children gain:

  • Life Skills: Communication, problem-solving, time management, and leadership

  • Business Knowledge: Budgeting, goal setting, marketing, and customer service

  • Financial Literacy: Understanding how to save, spend wisely, and donate to causes they care about

  • Confidence and Character: Building self-esteem and grit

  • Civic Engagement: Learning the value of giving back and being part of a community

It’s also an opportunity for families, educators, and local leaders to connect with youth in a meaningful way, nurturing tomorrow’s innovators, changemakers, and business leaders.
