ABOUT THE EVENT
We invite you to join Great Valley Nature Center and over 300 trail runners for the 10th Annual Great Valley Raptor Run on Sunday, July 26 at 9:00AM, on the woodland trails of Warwick County Park in Pottstown, PA. This trail run, is annual favorite for runners from all across the Philadelphia region and beyond. Runners can race the 5 mile route, or double it and take on the 10 mile trail run. Race details:
Beautiful scenic woodland trails
Shaded rustic trails with sizes ranging from single to quadra-track.
Great race for beginners, but with enough technical challenges to keep experts on their toes!
Forests, rolling hills, grassy meadows, and messy mud holes – this race has it all!
This trail run specifically benefits the Bird of Prey Center and environmental education programs at GVNC. Birds of prey come to us from wild animal rehabilitation centers across the US. Due to an injury, these birds will no longer be able to survive in the wild. Once rehab is complete, the birds come to GVNC where they will be cared for, and where they will go on to help to educate youth about the environment in which they live. GVNC provides educational programs to schools (Pre-K through grade 12), community groups, Scout groups, and families; over 35,000 participants annually! We also provide educational programs for youth with special needs, and provide summer camp scholarships for families in need.
We hope you will become a sponsor, join us as a runner, or make a tax deductible contribution in support of GVNC, a Chester County gem of environmental education, and the Birds of Prey Center.
Visit www.gvnc.org to find our sponsorship packet and become a sponsor of the event, or find runner registration forms and information. Runners can register directly online at www.pretzelcitysports.com. See you at Warwick County Park on July 26th!
