Let’s golf in support of the Great Valley Nature Center and the Bird of Prey Program!
We would like to invite you and your friends and business associates to join us for the 16th Annual Bird of Prey Classic on Monday, June 1st at 1:00pm, at the beautiful Kimberton Golf Club. We promise a fun day of golf, including skill contests and prizes, a raffle, a buffet dinner provided by Kimberton Golf Club, and a GVNC Bird of Prey live demonstration! You won’t want to miss meeting these majestic birds in person.
We are so honored that The Malvern Veterinary Hospital is the presenting sponsor for this afternoon of golf, to specifically benefit the Bird of Prey Center at GVNC. Many of you might not know that the Malvern Veterinary Hospital volunteers to provide all medical treatment for these amazing birds, as well as the other creatures that live and teach our young people about nature, at the Nature Center.
These birds come to GVNC straight from wild animal rehabilitation centers across the US. Due to an injury, these birds will no longer be able to survive in the wild. Once rehab is complete, the birds come to GVNC where they will be cared for, and where they will go on to help to educate youth about the environment in which they live. GVNC provides educational programs to schools (Pre-K through grade 12), community groups, Scout groups, and families; over 35,000 participants annually!
We hope you will come out and enjoy the day and support this Chester County gem of environmental education, and the Birds of Prey Center.
