ABOUT THE EVENT
There will be dozens of booths lining the parking lot and the path to the Community Garden. In addition, there will be a full schedule, 12-4pm, of 15-minute presentations in the Pavilion. After the Mayor’s welcome, there will be dancing on the grass by Feet First, then speakers such as local celebrities, from Joe Varady on the Lenni Lenape to PA Representative Paul Friel and PA Senator Katy Muth on climate legislation. Jeremy Taylor will update on the PHXNEO water treatment initiative. Woven in between these presentations there will be activities on the lawns, including making a mandala (a sacred spiral of natural materials), taking a foraging walk, touring the community garden, and learning to throw a disc golf frisbee. Food from local Mexican restaurant El Burrito was popular last year and promises to return.
