ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host the AARP Smart Driver Two-Day Class on Thursday and Friday, December 6 & 7, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM both days. The AARP Smart Driver course offers drivers age 50 and older an important opportunity to learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. You’ll learn how you can manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. After completing the course, you will have a greater appreciation of driving challenges and a better understanding of how to avoid potential collisions and injuring yourself or others. You may be eligible to receive an insurance discount upon completing the course, so consult your insurance agent for details.
AARP membership is not required to take the course and there are no tests to pass. Cost is $15.00 for AARP members, $20.00 for non-members (check or money order only, payable to AARP Smart Driver.
