ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library’s Adult Spanish Book Club will meet next on Thursday, November 30 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Library. Attendees will enjoy a casual discussion, in Spanish, of La amortajada by Chilean author Maria Luisa Bombal. Ana Maria is dead but she can still think and feel. Now tranquil in her death, with people admiring her beautiful corpse, she can contemplate her life. As they come and look at her, Ana Maria thinks of what they meant to her–the love of her youth, her sons and daughter, her lover, and husband.
