ABOUT THE EVENT
The Adult Spanish Book Club will meet next on Thursday, February 22 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Phoenixville Public Library. The group will meet for a discussion in Spanish of Pedro Paramo by Mexican author Juan Rulfo. Juan Preciado is sent by his mother Dolores to find Pedro Paramo, the father he never knew. Juan’s half-brother Abundio guides him to Comala located “at the mouth of Hell,” where ghosts speak from the grave to describe the sinister influence of Pedro Paramo on the town and its inhabitants. Enjoy a casual discussion of this book in collaboration with Ursinus College.
