ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation on advance directives and hospice care on Tuesday, July 30 at 7:00 PM. The presenters are Jim Ruggiero, Esq., Ruggiero Law Offices LLC; and Marsha Clarke-Ford, Grane Hospice Care. By having a healthcare power of attorney in place, you have an agent designated to make healthcare decisions for you in the event of incapacity due to accident or illness. In this presentation, attendees will learn about advance directives, the recent law changes in PA and how to make the best decisions in selecting an agent and when to provide legal documents to medical professionals. In addition, attendees will receive an overview of what hospice is, the myths/truths about hospice, and the best times to refer.
