Phoenixville Public Library welcomes back keyboardist Joe Kenney for “Affirmations for High Achievers: A Book Discussion and Keyboard Concert” on Monday, October 27, 6:30 PM at the Library. From the mind and soul of Joe Kenney — award-winning pianist, composer, and recording artist — comes a unique new series of affirmations, aimed to serve as a blueprint to achieve the realization of big dreams in different arenas of life. Affirmations for High Achievers Volume 1: Success features the powerful presentation of 160 affirmations with corresponding QR codes — pairing each positive message with an original piece of piano-based music, to help internalize and enhance the spirit of the words in an immersive way. Joe will be discussing themes from his book and performing works from his companion piano album, “Reflections On Inner Transformation.”
Joe Kenney — a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a B.M. in piano performance (2013) — is a recording artist, songwriter, and pianist from Philadelphia. The music on Kenney’s five albums and various collaborations spans multiple genres and is reflective of a cohesive blending of classical music theory, jazz fusion, rock, soul, and hip-hop idioms. Joe has garnered praise for both his original compositions and cover arrangements.
