Phoenixville Public Library hosts a free living history presentation, “Always Free! A Juneteenth Celebration”, on Monday, June 10 at 6:30 PM. Living history presenter Oni Lasana is Mary Ella Grandberry, telling stories about her life during and after slavery, with excerpts from the narratives of enslaved African women. The program also features the spoken words of Paul Laurence Dunbar and the music of Sweet Honey in the Rock, Taj Mahal, and Jay Unger. Learn more at https://onilasana.com/always-free.
