ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free virtual presentation by author Eric Otis Simmons on Monday, March 4 at 7:00 PM. In his latest book, Prostate Cancer Came a Knockin’, Eric speaks openly about his battle with prostate cancer and how his medical negligence in not getting checked annually for the disease once he turned 55 nearly cost him his life and still may. By sharing his story, Eric hopes to motivate and encourage men aged 45 and up to get checked for prostate cancer to avoid, potentially, what he and his family have endured. Eric’s book is a story of discovery, despair, determination, and divine intervention.
Eric Otis Simmons, a veteran of Corporate America with over 30 years of experience at Fortune 500 companies like IBM and AT&T, recently founded the Prostate Cancer Awareness Foundation Inc. His books have ranked on Amazon’s “Best Sellers” list over 245 times since 2019, with three reaching #1 on Amazon’s “Hot New Releases.” He’s been featured in a prominent business magazine and appeared on WSFA TV, podcasts, and YouTube. A sought-after speaker at various events, Eric has been married to his wife, Cynthia, for forty-four (44) years. They have three adult children.
