ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “Become the Eye of Your Family’s Storm: Parenting a Child with Special Needs”, on Monday, May 13 at 7:00 PM. Americ McCullagh of CONQUER SNP.com will be the speaker. Has your child been recently diagnosed with a special need? Are you wondering, “How will I get through this?” Whether you’re dealing with health, physical, emotional or learning related diagnoses, there is a way to parent your child that will bring out the best in both you and your child. If you’re ready to learn how to manage the constant array of emotions, how to keep your family together and most importantly, experience the self-confidence needed to move forward on this journey, then this program is for you. In her presentation, Americ will share her story of how she developed the CONQUER Special Needs Parenting Method and took control of her own special needs challenges, including helping her son and family move forward, eliminating the self judgement and guilt and stopping the daily overwhelm, beginning with three life- changing mindsets to consider.

Americ McCullagh has 20 years’ experience as an occupational therapist specializing in special needs pediatrics. She coaches parents on how to parent and think differently, creating lifelong solutions for their entire family. This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
