ABOUT THE EVENT

Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet on Tuesday, September 25, 7:00 PM, at Conshohocken Brewing Company’s Rec Room, 230 Bridge Street, Phoenixville. The group will discuss The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. In the summer of 1956, Stevens, a long-serving butler at Darlington Hall, decides to take a motoring trip through the West Country. The 6-day excursion becomes a journey into the past of Stevens and England–through fascism, two world wars, and an unrealized love between the butler and his housekeeper. A Booker Prize winning novel by a Pulitzer Prize winning author.

A copy of the book may be reserved at the Library or at www.ccls.org. This event is free and open to the public. No reservations required. Food and drink not included but will be available for purchase. For more information, e-mail Christine Shaffer at shaffer.m.christine@gmail.com.
