ABOUT THE EVENT
Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet on Tuesday, December 18, 7:00 PM, at P.J. Ryan’s Pub, 233 Bridge St., Phoenixville. The group will discuss Less by Andrew Sean Greer. Who says you can’t run away from your problems? You’re a failed novelist about to turn 50. A wedding invitation arrives in the mail: your boyfriend of the past 9 years is engaged to someone else. You can’t say yes–too awkward–you can’t say no–it’d look like defeat. On your desk is a series of invitations to half-baked literary events around the world. How to skip town? You accept them all. Arthur Less sets off around the world. Through mishaps, missteps, misunderstandings and mistakes, Greer takes Less through a love story in this Pulitzer-Prize winning novel.
A copy of the book may be reserved at the Library or at www.ccls.org. This event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages are available for purchase. For more information, contact Christine Shaffer at shaffer.m.christine@gmail.com.
