ABOUT THE EVENT
Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet next on Tuesday, June 25, 7:00 PM, at Sedona Taphouse, 131 Bridge Street, Phoenixville. The group will discuss Fredrik Backman’s Beartown. By the author of A Man Called Ove, Beartown reveals the story of a little town fractured by scandal and the amateur hockey team that could change everything. Winning a junior ice hockey championship would draw national attention to the ailing town, with the possibility of government funding and an influx of professional athletes. A drunken celebration careens out of control and brings trouble to players and their manager, with ripples throughout the town. Loyalty, betrayal and the courage to speak the truth emerge during this powerful, insightful story.
