ABOUT THE EVENT

Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet online on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 PM. The group will discuss the award-winning nonfiction title, Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado-Perez. Imagine a world where your phone is too big for your hand, or your doctor prescribes a drug wrong for your body, or in a car accident you are 47% more likely to be seriously injured, or where every week the hours of work you do are not valued. If this is familiar, chances are you’re a woman. Criado-Perez shows us case studies, stories and new research that illustrate hidden ways women are forgotten and the impact this has on their health and well-being.

A copy of the eBook may be reserved online at http://chester.overdrive.com. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom. Please e-mail Christine Shaffer at shaffer.m.christine@gmail.com to receive an invitation to attend.
