ABOUT THE EVENT
Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, meets Tuesday, March 31, 7:00 PM at Sedona Taphouse, 131 Bridge St., Phoenixville. The group will discuss Elif Shafak’s acclaimed novel, There are Rivers in the Sky. In the ancient city of Nineveh, on the bank of the River Tigris, King Ashurbanipal of Mesopotamia, erudite but ruthless, built a great library that would crumble with the end of his reign. From its ruins, however, emerged a poem, the Epic of Gilgamesh, that would infuse the existence of two rivers and bind together three lives. Copies of the book may be reserved at https://chesp.na.iiivega.com. eBook and eAudiobook copies may be reserved at https://chester.overdrive.com. This event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Email Faith Donaher at fdonaher@gmail.com for more information.
