Caryn Lin, Electric Violinist

ABOUT THE EVENT

Caryn-LinCaryn Lin creates music that is “a transcendent marriage between melody and atmosphere.” She creates short, on-the-spot recordings of her electric violins, voice, and percussion. These layers of sound over deceptively simple melodies result in music that is both otherworldly and totally catchy, combining new age, gypsy, world, and classical.

Caryn’s past performance venues have included: The Kimmel Center, NJPAC, Lincoln Center, Crayola Crayon Factory, Carthusian Monastery in the French Alps, Kripalu Yoga Center, and Philly Folk Fest. She is currently working on her 6th studio recording. Her music has been featured on over 150 radio stations internationally & on satellite radio and MTV. She and her music appear in the movie “Philadelphia”.

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013, Ext. 132.
