ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free virtual presentation, “Climate Change: Humanity’s Damage to Earth”, on Monday, January 4 at 7:00 PM. Eric Krieg will be the speaker. This talk and ensuing discussion will review the geophysics and energy balance for climatology, looking at the major contributing factors to dangerous and accelerating warming. Included will be a brief overview of how climate change deniers think as well as some radical approaches that could turn things around perhaps as early as next century. Plan on taking part in a spirited discussion following the 30-minute presentation.

Eric Krieg is a science promoter, electrical engineer and former skeptic of global warming who has studied the science of global warming for decades. He is also a backpacker and a grandparent who cares about the long-term future of the only confirmed planet to currently harbor life in this section of our galaxy.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/climate-change or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. E-mail mpinto@ccls.org for more information.
