ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free workshop for parents and high school students, “College Admissions: It’s All About U”, on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:00 PM. Dr. Kevin Bukatman of College Planning Service America will be the presenter. The workshop will help students take ownership of the admissions process by giving them more detailed information on successfully marketing themselves to their college of choice. Topics will include: the importance of a challenging high school curriculum and extracurricular activities, creating an impactful resume, writing powerful essays that get noticed by admissions committees, consequences of social media, majors that will lead to great job opportunities, the impact of a college’s mission statement on which students are accepted, and more.
