Community Gardening around the Village: Earth Day Poetry Writing Event

Thursday, April 21, 2022 Community Gardening around the Village: Earth Day Poetry Writing Event

ABOUT THE EVENT

The next program in Phoenixville’s partner-sponsored “Community Gardening around the Village” series will be an “Earth Day Poetry Writing Event” at Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 PM. Vincent Tavani of Heartwood Eco-Poetry will lead this free program. Like a beautiful plant, a beautiful poem’s form follows its function. Come write poems with a purpose in celebration of Earth Day and National Poetry Month. After looking at worthy missions pursued by Phoenixville’s various ecological organizations, participants, guided by Vincent, will create a collection of short poems that each reflect a mission in its very shape. The Earth Day collection will be a perfect celebration of the work our community does to care for our part of the planet. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/earth-day-poetry or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Email mpinto@ccls.org for more information. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
