ABOUT THE EVENT

Presented by
Andre Kiss,
Critical Point Test Prep

in the Community Education Room

This workshop will give high school students and parents a comprehensive outline of SAT and ACT preparation, which includes not only the psychology and physiology of successful test prep, but four useful strategies for both tests. Attendees will be given a diagnostic test to test their performance before learning the strategies, and a follow-up test to see what they’ve learned.

Andre Kiss graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Ursinus College with degrees in both Psychology and Neuroscience. After graduating, he was fortunate enough to receive the prestigious J. William Fulbright grant from the US Dept. of State, which took him to Amazonia, Brazil for 9 months, where he helped develop English language learning curricula at the Federal University of Acre. While he tutored all throughout college, it was after graduating that Andre found his passion in helping high schoolers better prepare for the SAT and ACT and the college process in general. After helping hundreds of students succeed on both tests, he decided to put his techniques, strategies, and explanations of concepts into a comprehensive guide for ACT prep entitled “I Used to Hate the ACT, too: How to Conquer the #1 College Admissions Test”, an Amazon best-seller in two different categories. A scorer of a perfect 36 on the ACT and a near-perfect 1570 on the SAT, he takes the tests at least once a year to keep his skills sharp to provide his students with the best instruction possible.

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events calendar at http://phoenixvillelibrary.org/adults-calendar or by calling 610-933-3013, Ext. 132.
