ABOUT THE EVENT
Presented by
Zalene Corey, Gentle Passages, Inc.
in the Community Education Room
Many people recall a loved one ‘laid in state’ in the bedroom where they died or the parlor or living room. The home funeral movement is once again an emerging death care choice. This program will address myths that may mislead people when faced with planning a funeral for a loved one or for themselves. Information will be provided to help individuals make choices that can be comforting and that save money.
Zalene C. Corey has been involved in the Home Funeral Movement for more than 20 years. She is currently a board member on the National Home Funeral Alliance non-profit board and the president of Gentle Passages, a small business dedicated to dying with grace and living with passion. The deaths of her own parents have spurred her in her desire to help others find the ‘good death’ for themselves and their family members.
This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013, Ext. 132.
