Learn about the early years of football in Phoenixville. Jack’s talk will focus on the local clubs that fielded teams, the legendary Union Club that played Jim Thorpe’s Canton Bulldogs, the growth of high school football and how the Phantoms got their name. The presentation will feature rare and unique photographs from the Phoenixville Historical Society’s photo collection.
