ABOUT THE EVENT

Local cellist and music teacher Eric Coyne will perform an all-Bach program at Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday, September 26 at 7:00 PM. Eric will play Bach’s Suites Nos. 1-3 for solo cello in a free concert. A native of Iowa, Eric Coyne is a professional cellist active in the Philadelphia area since 2001. His numerous performance commitments have included membership in ensembles such as Murmuration Improvisation Ensemble, Symphony in C, Prometheus Chamber Orchestra, Arcana New Music Ensemble, The Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret, and the Mühlenberg Piano Quartet. He is currently Master Cello Faculty at Community Music School in Trappe, where he has been on faculty since 2002. He also directs Community Music School’s string program and chamber music program. He was also on faculty at The Music School of Delaware teaching musicianship and sight-reading and cello in the Suzuki Academy from 2009 to 2019. He maintains a home studio at his residence in Mount Airy.
