ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “Exploring Physical Therapy”, on Monday, November 10 at 6:30 PM. Maria D’Abbene, a Physical Therapist and a Library staff member, will be the presenter. Join us for this engaging and educational session all about physical therapy (PT)—what it is, where it’s practiced, and how it plays a vital role in helping people live healthier, more active lives. Learn how PT can help you: manage pain and reduce the need for opioids; prevent and recover from injuries or surgery; improve strength, endurance, balance, and mobility at any age; and support healthy aging and fall prevention. Maria will also explore education and training required to become a Physical Therapist, specializations and related healthcare careers, different PT interventions and treatment approaches, and practical tips on diet, hydration, and safe exercise. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/exploring-physical-therapy or by calling 610-933-3013 x132.
