Hike To The Phoenixville Firebird Festival

Hike To The Phoenixville Firebird Festival

Saturday, December 03, 2016 Hike To The Phoenixville Firebird Festival

ABOUT THE EVENT

The annual Phoenixville Firebird Festival is a celebration of resurgence: it’s a way to reflect on the year to come and to cheer the rebound of Phoenixville’s economy over the years.

This year, the Schuylkill River Town Program (www.schuylkillrivertowns.com) is joining H30 (Happy, Happy, & Healthy Outdoors) for an afternoon hike that will end at the Firebird Festival. This is an event for moderate to experienced hikers- it will last at least three hours and cover seven miles, including several steep hills. Highlights will include the Schuylkill Ravines, Lock 60, the Schuylkill River Trail, Black Rock Sanctuary, the Schuylkill Valley Animal Preserve, and a sunset overlook.

H30 needs an exact attendance figure in order to properly plan the amount of hike leaders they’ll need, so please visit http://www.meetup.com/H3-Outdoors/events/234930260/ to complete your registration. There, you’ll find the “hike specs” as well as instructions on where to meet and what to bring.
