ABOUT THE EVENT

LGBT Equality Alliance of Chester County is sponsoring a Holiday Pride Drive, collecting items for the homeless shelters of Chester County. “There is sadly
too much need,” said Stacey DeFreitas, LGBTEA board member and organizer of the drive. “We just want to do our part to help the community as a whole.”

Items being collected include family and travel size toiletries, hand and body soap and lotion, hand sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, baby products, lip balm, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, winter gear, hand warmer packs, individually packaged snacks, and gift cards in $10-$25 denominations for pharmacies, grocery stores, and big-box stores. There are numerous drop off locations around the county. “The YMCAs have really stepped up to support this, “stated DeFreitas, “They are wonderful community partners.”

Donations are being accepted until Sunday, December 4th.

On December 5th, there will be a public party at Congregation B’Nai Jacob Phoenixville from 6:00-8:30 PM to prep all of
the donations into packages for the various homeless shelters. Food and drink will be served to those attending.
