ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library hosts a free workshop, “Intelligent Magic for Grownups”, with internationally-recognized sleight-of-hand magician Steve Friedberg on Monday, January 22 at 6:30 PM. Steve will demonstrate and teach several card effects which require no sleight-of-hand, yet are guaranteed to amaze virtually everyone to whom you show it. He’ll work with you to practice both the mechanics and the delivery (the “patter”) that will make your presentation flawless. Please bring a standard deck of cards.
Steve Friedberg is a sleight-of-hand magician who delights in delivering the magical “moments of WOW!” He has headlined at Hollywood’s Magic Castle, Washington Magic and the Chicago Magic Lounge. He’s also performed at New York’s Monday Night Magic. He has been awarded a Doctor of Magic degree from the invitation-only 4F convention, a yearly gathering of 250 of the world’s best close-up magicians, and has been admitted as a member of London’s Magic Circle. As a close-up magician, Steve says he prefers working with standard playing cards, saying they’re easier to shuffle than bunnies. His website is www.stevefriedbergmagic.com.
