Keeping Your Brain Young (online)

ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free online presentation, “Keeping Your Brain Young”, on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 PM. Colleen Reynolds of Reynolds Develin Speech Services will be the speaker. Research shows that in addition to keeping our bodies active and flexible, keeping our minds active and flexible allows us to continue to have outstanding quality of life even as we age. This program begins by reviewing the meaning of cognition, or what we call “thinking”. The components of healthy thinking include memory, orientation, attention, problem solving, reasoning and executive functions. The foundations for the brain being able to engage in all of those thinking activities are cognitive endurance and cognitive flexibility. In this presentation, those foundations will be explored and you will learn strategies to enhance those skills, as well as techniques for improving all components of cognitive functioning.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom. More information and required registration are available on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132.
