Local Author Book Talk: Beth Lennon

Thursday, October 17, 2019 Local Author Book Talk: Beth Lennon

ABOUT THE EVENT

Local author Beth Lennon (AKA Mod Betty) returns to Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 PM. She will speak about the cool vintage places and retro fun of Philadelphia from her recently published “Mod Betty’s Guide to Philadelphia”. Beth Lennon’s Retro Roadmap Roadbook covers over 35 places to eat, things to do, mom and pop shops to shop in, all with that stepped-back-in-time feeling.

Beth Lennon (aka Mod Betty) is the creative mind behind the Retro Roadmap website and book series, where she discovers and shares her favorite “Cool Vintage Places and Retro Fun!” Her books and website concentrate on the vintage / mid-century era businesses and destinations in our area (and beyond) that have managed to survive the decades with their authentic charm intact. Featured in the Boston Globe, Huffington Post and WHYY-TV, she has written for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, starred in the Retro Roadmap Video Series on YouTube and delivered Retro Roadmap presentations to delighted audiences across multiple states. When she’s not on the road exploring you can find her seated in her vintage 1964 travel camper planning her next adventure or writing her next Retro Roadmap Roadbook!

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
