“The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership”

Dr. Don Meyer became president of the University of Valley Forge (formerly Valley Forge Christian College) on January 1, 1997.
Dr. Meyer served for 21 years at North Central University (NCU, formerly North Central Bible College) where he taught full time in Biblical Studies for three years and for 18 years was the Vice President for Academic Affairs. His portfolio consisted of overseeing the Faculty, Library, Athletics, Financial Aid, Admissions, and Registrar. He also taught one class a semester throughout those years. For one semester he served as the interim Academic Dean at Continental Theological Seminary, Brussels, Belgium.

Dr. Meyer is an ordained Assemblies of God minister and for seven years pastored the Franklin Assemblies of God Church, Franklin, PA. He has spoken at camps, retreats, seminars, and churches in the United States and overseas with extensive ministry in over 25 countries.

Since 2002 he has written a weekly column titled “Think About It” in the local newspaper, The Phoenix Reporter and Item, and has also contributed articles to various Christian publications and journals.

Dr. Meyer serves on numerous committees such as the Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education, the Assemblies of God Commission on Doctrinal Purity, The Potential Nomination Screening Committee of the Assemblies of God (Chair), the Board of Directors to the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors of the Phoenixville Hospital.

His first book, The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership: An Interactive Leadership Journey that Invites You to Ask and Answer Transformational Leadership Questions, was published in 2015.

Dr. Meyer is a native of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and has been married to Evie (Morneau) since 1967. The Meyer’s have three sons, Darin, Keith (deceased) and Kevin and one grandson, Noah.
