ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a talk by local author Janice O’Brien on Thursday, November 16 at 6:45 PM. Eating My Way Through Life, Family Stories of Talented Cooks & Tasty Food is a collection of stories that illustrate Janice’s appreciation and love for her family and the remarkable food they made and ate together. Some of Janice’s fondest memories growing up involve someone cooking and making her something incredible to eat. The list includes Grandma’s nostalgic baked goods, Mom’s creative meals, Dad’s hearty breakfasts, Aunt Carolyn’s out-of- this-world lasagna, Aunt Rose’s Italian dishes and Grandpa’s extravagant Sunday Southern dinners. These are the stories about being surrounded by talented cooks feeding O’Brien irresistible food and how that influenced the direction of her life. Books are available on Amazon.com or at the book signing. Cash, credit card, or Venmo accepted.
Over her professional career, Janice O’Brien was an Art Director, Package Designer, Brand and Marketing Director, all involving extensive promotional and business writing. Despite being a designer, O’Brien loved to write. A poet, writer and designer, her first book, Poems I Wrote When I Wasn’t Talking, was published in 2015. She loves to travel, connect with people and cook and eat delectable food. After living most of her life in the New York metropolitan area, O’Brien now lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
