ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “Military Encampments of the Continental Army: The Encampments That Won the War”, on Monday, November 17 at 6:30 PM. Russell Brindley, a Park Guide for Valley Forge National Historical Park, will be the presenter. Everyone knows about the Valley Forge Encampment. Did you know that the Continental Army had seven other winter encampments? Each of these encampments, like Cambridge, Middlebrook, Morristown, and New Windsor, played an important role in the survival of the Continental Army. This event is free and open to the public. The program will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/military-encampments or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Email mpinto@ccls.org for more information.
