Join us for our Second mid-day Picnic at Valley Forge National Park! Enjoy a Speaker, lunch, networking and games.
Ryan Conroy, President of the Phoenixville Area Historical Society and local history guru, will give a presentation on Valley Forge’s role in the Revolutionary War.
This event has limited capacity, register online in advance.
Lunch catered by Uncle B’s BBQ Shack and will end promptly at 12:30pm. We advise arriving to this event as early as possible.

Due to Valley Forge National Park rules we are unable to accept payments of any kind at the event. Please pay online using our pay now form, or request an invoice when registering.
About Varnum’s Picnic Area
Located off of Route 23, Varnum’s Picnic Area sits between the Visitor Center and Washington’s Headquarters. This picnic area is also in close proximity to the von Steuben Statue and Varnum’s Quarters, tour stop 8 on The Encampment Tour, which overlooks the Grand Parade.
Directions from Phoenixville
– Follow Route 23 towards King of Prussia. The picnic area will be on your left, across from the Baron von Steuben statue.
Directions from the Visitor Center:
– Exit the park at the intersection of Route 23 and Gulph Road. Make a left at the light onto Route 23 West/ Valley Forge Road.
– Follow Route 23/ Valley Forge Road for approximately 1.6 miles.
– Make a right into the picnic area parking lot.
