Mobile Home Tax Reassessment Assistance

Thursday, May 18, 2023 Mobile Home Tax Reassessment Assistance

ABOUT THE EVENT

Get your mobile home taxes reassessed for free at Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday, May 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. United Way of Chester County, in partnership with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, is offering assistance to mobile home owners in Chester County to file for property tax reassessment appeals. Since 2019, the Chester County Mobile Home Tax Reassessment Project has assisted in 903 successful appeals, lowered assessments by 70%, saved each mobile home owner an average of $872 on their annual taxes, and collectively saved these homeowners $8.1 million over the next 10 years that they should have never owed to begin with if not for a flaw in state tax code. Applicants should: know the year, make, model and size of your mobile home; bring a property tax bill, preferably the school tax bill, bring the title or sales agreement to your mobile home (information about how much you paid for the home, including a bill of sale if you purchased within the past 5 years); and bring insurance information. Walk-in only; no appointment needed. For more information, visit www.UnitedForMobileHomes.com or call 877-429-5994. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
