Movies on Tap: “The Holdovers”

Movies on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s virtual film discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet on Zoom Tuesday, January 14 at 7:30 PM. The group will discuss The Holdovers (2023, R). Paul Giamatti, Oscar-winner Da”Vine Joy Randolph, and Dominic Sessa star in this comedy/drama about a curmudgeonly instructor at a New England school who remains on campus during Christmas break. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school’s cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War.
