Movies on Tap: “The Night of the Hunter”

Movies on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s virtual film discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet on Zoom Tuesday, June 11 at 7:30 PM. The group will discuss The Night of the Hunter (1955, not rated). Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters, and Lillian Gish star in this film-noir crime drama about a self-proclaimed preacher who marries a gullible widow whose young children are reluctant to tell him where their real dad hid the $10,000 he’d stolen in a robbery. Please watch the film independently prior to the discussion. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom.
