ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will present a free concert by The Pennsylvania Philharmonic Brass on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 PM. In a concert titled “From Bourbon St. to Bernstein”, the Philharmonic Brass will play selections from the Philharmonic’s upcoming 2017-18 season. This December, the Philharmonic brings the Dukes of Dixieland together with full symphony orchestra for a Mardi Gras themed New Year’s celebration. Then in June, they will pay tribute to the 100th Anniversary of Leonard Bernstein by performing his complete “West Side Story”.
Every year, The Pennsylvania Philharmonic performs multiple programs across central and eastern Pennsylvania. Education is at the heart of the Philharmonic, with over 60% of their concerts occurring in school districts for over 15,000 students a year. The orchestra is also dedicated to bringing quality and innovative public concerts to the communities they serve.
This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
