ABOUT THE EVENT
The Phoenix Book Club, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for adults of all ages, will meet next on Monday, April 2, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Phoenixville Public Library. The group will discuss Beartown by Fredrik Backman. From the author of A Man Called Ove, this instant New York Times bestseller is a charming novel about a forgotten town fractured by scandal, and the amateur hockey team that might just change everything. Winning a junior hockey championship could mean everything to Beartown’s residents, whose community is being eaten alive by unemployment and the surrounding wilderness. A victory could draw national attention, attract government funding and talented athletes.
A copy of the book may be reserved at the Library or at www.ccls.org. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, e-mail mpinto@ccls.org or call 610-933-3013 x132. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
