ABOUT THE EVENT
The Phoenix Book Club will meet on Monday, September 10 at 7:00 PM at Phoenixville Public Library. They will discuss Birdsong: A Novel of Love and War by Sebastian Faulks. In the travails of Stephen Wraysford, a British officer trapped in the netherworld of World War I’s western front, readers experience Wraysford’s struggle for self-preservation. Faulks renders love as compellingly as war in his story of passionate love between Wraysford and the childless and unhappily married Isabella Azaire. A copy of this book may be reserved at the Library or at www.ccls.org. This event is free and open to the public.
