ABOUT THE EVENT
The Phoenix Book Club will meet next at Phoenixville Public Library on Monday, March 2 at 7:00 PM. The group will discuss James Joyce’s classic short story collection, Dubliners. Joyce presents a vivid and unflinching portrait of “dear dirty Dublin” at the turn of the twentieth century. These 15 stories, including such unforgettable ones as “Araby,” “Grace,” and “The Dead,” delve into the heart of the city of Joyce’s birth, capturing the cadences of Dubliners’ speech and portraying with an almost brute realism their outer and inner lives. A copy of this book may be reserved at the Library or online at www.ccls.org.
This program is free and open to the public. For more information, call 610-933-3013 x132 or e-mail mpinto@ccls.org. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
