ABOUT THE EVENT

The Phoenix Book Club, Phoenixville Public Library’s virtual book discussion group for adults of all ages, will meet on Zoom Monday, June 8 at 7:00 PM. The group will discuss David McCullough’s posthumous collection of essays, History Matters. Author McCullough affirms the value of history, how we can be guided by its lessons, and the enduring legacy of American ideals. Selected essays, some published for the first time, written at different points over the course of his long career but all focused on the subject of his lifelong passion: the importance of history in understanding our present and future. Edited by McCullough’s daughter, Dorie McCullough Lawson, and his longtime researcher, Michael Hill. Physical and audiobook copies of the book may be reserved at https://chesp.na.iiivega.com. eBook and eAudiobook copies may be reserved at https://chester.overdrive.com. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom.
