ABOUT THE EVENT

🌿 Phoenixville Garden Tour 2026: “Bird Up! Elevating Bird-Friendly Gardens”
Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 10 AM – 2 PM | Rain or Shine | Purchase tickets ($20) here linktr.ee/psgt

Phoenixville is proud to be a Bird Town, and this year’s Summer Garden Tour celebrates what that looks like right at home in our yards, gardens, and shared spaces. “Bird Up!” will spotlight local gardens that support birds through native plants, layered landscapes, and biodiversity-friendly practices. From caterpillars that feed nestlings to plants that sustain insects year-round, these gardens show how small, thoughtful choices can make a big ecological difference. When we garden for birds, we also support pollinators and the wider web of life.

This self-guided tour allows visitors to explore at their own pace and discover practical, inspiring ideas they can use in their own landscapes. Along the way, visitors will enjoy a curated selection of Bird Town–inspired gardens, learn simple ways to create bird-friendly yards and neighborhoods, visit a Native Plant Sale at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church (121 Church Street) featuring plants that support birds and insects, and take a chance on raffle prizes celebrating nature, gardening, and community.

Calling All Gardeners
We are currently seeking gardens to feature on the tour. Gardens of all styles and sizes are welcome, from container gardens and small urban beds to larger landscapes. If your space supports birds, we would love to include it. By sharing your garden, you can inspire neighbors with practical ideas, support sustainability and community resilience, celebrate Phoenixville’s Bird Town values, and help begin stitching together contiguous pollinator pathways across the Borough.

We will feature fewer than 15 gardens on this year’s tour.

Application deadline: Friday, May 15, 2026
Selected gardeners notified: Monday, May 25, 2026

2026 Special Prize Opportunity – Good news for bird lovers!
In 2026, any garden in Greater Phoenixville that earns recognition through the Pennsylvania Audubon Council’s Bird Habitat Recognition Program will have its $30 application fee reimbursed by the Phoenixville Green Team.

That means your commitment to birds comes with a little bonus.

The Pennsylvania Audubon Council, in partnership with local Audubon chapters and Bird Town PA, created this recognition program to encourage homeowners, renters, and community gardeners to rethink yards, balconies, and shared green spaces. The goal is simple: create habitats that are beautiful for people and genuinely beneficial for birds.

Your space does not have to be large. Even small areas can help by providing thoughtful elements such as:
Native plants
Shelter and layered vegetation
Water sources
Safe nesting areas

Together, these small actions help create a connected network of bird-friendly habitats across our community.
