ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host the “Senior Crime Prevention University” on Monday, July 31 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Ameer Blackmon, Education and Outreach Specialist with the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General, will be the presenter. This goal of this program is to educate senior citizens and their families on how to protect themselves against fraud. The program will discuss common ploys used by con artists who target older citizens. Topics include home improvement rip-offs, telemarketing tricks, sweepstakes scams, financial fraud, and identity theft. This event is free and open to the public.
