Learn the basics of Social Security and innovative strategies for maximizing your benefits at a free workshop to be held at Phoenixville Public Library on Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30 PM, repeated Thursday, January 23 at 6:30 PM. “Social Security Planning: What Baby Boomers Need to Know to Maximize Retirement Income” will be presented by Mike Polin, Premier Planning Group. The workshop will cover: five factors to consider in deciding when to apply for your benefits; when it makes sense to delay benefits – and when it does not; why you should always check your earnings record for accuracy; how to estimate your benefits; how to coordinate benefits with your spouse; how to minimize taxes on your Social Security Benefits; and how to coordinate Social Security with other sources of retirement income.
